I am hoping to remodel a house that I recently purchased from my aunt, on my mother’s side of the family, and I am trying to find quality products to use in the remodeling and refurbishing of the house. I found this one site, The House Directory, and it seems that it sells most of the things that I might need during the course of this project. I am really hoping to make this house look splendid again; it is a rather old house, much older than I am, and even older than my aunt. None the less, I remember it fondly from the few summers I spent at this house during my youth.

Unfortunately, the house was in much better shape than it is currently. My aunt has not had the spirit to take care of the house, it seems, since her husband passed away some ten years ago or so. He was a great man, and he actually built the house. I am hoping that I will be able to make it look as good as it used to, or, maybe even better.

I am going to need to buy a lot of stuff in order to accomplish that though. I need to paint the house; both the inside and the outside of the house need to be painted again. I am going to remove the old carpeting in most of the rooms. I wonder if there are any old hardwood floors underneath any of the carpet in these rooms. If I find some hardwood flooring that is in good condition, then I might polish it and stain it and keep it like that. I am going to need to buy new doors for the house as well. There is so much to do, I hope I can get started soon.
